Association Of Custom House Agents Karnataka Limited (ACHAK) came into being with a small group of like minded people coming
together to form the Association in the year 1986.
Incidentally they formed it as a Public Limited Company with a small group of 10 people. The association functioned from its
office located in the vicinity of earlier HAL Airport with a staff strength of 2 persons with all basic communication facilities.
The Original vision of Association Of Custom House Agents Karnataka Limited (ACHAK) , i.e., to develop skilled man-power,
exchange information, provide opportunities to acquire knowledge and constantly strive for upgrading the level of working
atmosphere of the members is still intact with subsequent adaptable changes from time to time.
With the revolutionary changing times around the globe, fused with development and modernization of the Customs Commissionerates
around the State of Karnataka, Association Of Custom House Agents Karnataka Limited (ACHAK) evolved to Bengaluru Custom House Agents
Association Limited (BCHAAL) on 10.01.2000 with the support of many stalwart members.
The vision, goals and Objectives of Bangalore Custom House Agents Association Limited (BCHAAL) compared to Association of Custom House
Agents Karnataka Limited (ACHAK) have been marginally tweaked and tuned in certain arenas, keeping in date with the modern changing era.
The principal objective of the present BCHAAL and the erstwhile ACHAK is for a singular and noteworthy purpose of bringing together all
Custom Brokers (Custom House Agents) and make them well organized in seeking support from all trade bodies to promote their interest for the common welfare of the community.
The purpose of the association has always been to involve members and infuse enthusiasm for active participation, to ensure that everyone follows and confirms
to the standard trading conditions as approved by FFFAI, our apex body and adhere to the acceptable Business Ethics.
The Association has made excellent progress both financially and in terms of strength of members in the last two decades due to the dedicated efforts of the
core working committee members. Today we have a strength of 311 members and are looking forward for more members to join the fraternity with warm hands.
